Simplest Way To Add A New Map To Minecraft

Lets just say that you just got the latest map update or another friends map and want to play.

But wait there isn’t actually a folder called maps where you can just copy and paste the maps so you can play straight away! I often find myself having to read some notes or even go on the internet to find an article on how to do it. (I just downloaded Castaway Map, review coming soon).

But do not worry my friends, to add a new map it is SO much simpler than you probably even think.

If you are running Windows 7 here is the easiest way to add a new map to your minecraft saves folder:

1. Download your new map
2. Click the Windows Icon, bottom left
3. Type        %appdata%
4. Click enter
5. Find the folder called      .minecraft
6. Copy the map into the folder called     saves

It is really that simple to add a new map. Now its time for me to go and enjoy some castaway style minecraft playing. Wish me luck!
